Midwest FurFest!

It's 1:48 AM as I write this, and I'm all ready to head off to the con. My taxi gets here for the run to the airport at 5:00 AM, and my flight leaves at 7:53, supposedly. ataramos was to drive me, but given the weather and not feeling well, she gave it a pass. Not a problem. :) mirrdae is leaving tomorrow after work to meet Foxfeather (an artist- go to the con and give her money!), and they'll head offf to the con Thursday. He's carting the Tea Party cookies and the teapot for me.

There have been setbacks here in Minnesota. joshuwain had a death in the family on Wednesday and likely will not be at the con (his grandmother), and foeclan had surgery Tuesday morning for a kidney stone... :P Hopefully, they'll both be okay.

In the meantime, I'm watching Mythbusters and contemplating a 3 AM shower, as well as wondering what'll turn out to be forgotten... But that's inevitable. But, so far and so good. With luck, I'll be at the hotel before 11 AM. Here's hoping for early check-in!

Arrival in one piece!

Im at the Hyatt Regency Woodfield, and it looks like I just might be the first loonie here. :) I'm in room 1230, which is good and bad. Good, cos I'm RIGHT THERE for nearly anything, bad because I think I'm in the party area...

But, for those planning on attending my Tea Party, remember- ROOM 1230!

I really ought to have gotten some sleep last night... O well.

I'm awaiting the arrival of nemetfox, who is going to be in the room with me tonight- my other roomies arrive tomorrow and Friday. So, here I am. :)
