You may want to consider whether spending $200 on a printer is worth it for the amount of printing you do. You could usually hit Kinko's and print stuff for a couple of bucks if we're not around, which would likely still be cheaper than buying and maintaining a printer (most consumer-level printers really are designed to fail within a year or two it seems :P). Your printer's been out of commission for quite a while, so it might be a good idea to think over how often that's genuinely been a problem and whether buying a new one is worth the cost. Paying the credit card is always a good idea, of course.
I wasn't referring to any specific incident. In the time I've known you (11 and change years now), you've often had money troubles, which seem to have been getting worse lately. I'm not saying 'don't complain', I'm just trying to help you get to where complaining is not necessary.
