Dinner & a Movie...

Tonight I had [livejournal.com profile] joshuwain, [livejournal.com profile] foeclan and [livejournal.com profile] feezlekahn over for dinner. I made my panstew in a quadruple batch, while Joshuwain brought over a salad that I've once again forgotten the name of- It had cherry tomatoes, mozzarella and (I think) spinach? [livejournal.com profile] zxizaraxii and [livejournal.com profile] mirrdae were there as well, although the latter didn't watch the movie. Anyway, with the food we watched 'Prince Caspian' and I think it was a good evening for all. I've some stew left, so that will be part of breakfast with more beef sandwiches. :)

Friday evening is the Holiday party, and before then I STILL have cleaning to do, and I plan on baking at least SOME cookies- definitely the cinnamon, probably trying to make shortbread cookies too, and maybe peanut butter cookies as well- I may try doing half the PB cookies with chocolate chips!

Other than that, its a quiet night. Oh- hopefully the dryer gets fixed today. Yay!

Oh again- The package that was supposed to arrive today, didn't. I R slightly annoyed. When you pay more for shipping, it damn well better get there on time!

Oh, it was just a Caprese Salad (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Insalata_Caprese). It's just made with tomatoes, basil, mozzarella, salt, pepper, olive oil, and -occasionally- balsamic vinegar. It's usually a summer salad but, well, I was thinking it would go well with your stew.

You could try this with your leftover stew for breakfast: mix it in with some shredded potato and make potato pancakes with beef stew. It would be extremely tasty...!

This would assume...

That anyone thought to refrigerate the little that was left. O well, I've got hash browns with beef sandwiches. :) I'll have the stew tonight.

If your package arriving from one of the locations that have gotten kicked in the ass by snow? Friends in Washington -still- havent received Christmas since UPS is buried just like the rest of them. And power's still out in some places on the East Coast.

Well...

It got here today. Just standard UPS ass-hattery I suspect.
