What the vet said...

realsorienOkay. So I just talked to the vet, and what Luna has is two things- asthma and kidney disease. Apparently, she was actually in kidney failure when I took her in. The kidney disease has apparently been developing for some time, then just recently got worse. What happens next is that for the next two weeks I'll be taking her into the ved every other day for fluid-injections to get her kidneys working again. After that, either she'll be okay and treated likely with meds, or I'll have a very hard decision to make.
And thats where we stand. She goes in for the first treatment tomorrow at 10, and the second on Saturday at 11.
Given that she just wolfed down a 1/2 can of Fancy Feast (mixed with water to thin it) and has been drinking regularly, I have some hope. :)
