realsorienMy room for Midwest FurFest is confirmed, and I'm SO ready to go. :) I can't wait til my vacations starts. As of this coming Sunday, I'm off work for 10 days! For the Tea Party on Thrusday, I've decided on the last type of cookies: Oatmeal! Here's the recipie.
1 cup butter softened
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1-1/2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
3 cups quaker oats (quick or old fashioned, uncooked)
1 cup raisins or chocolate chips (optional)
Heat oven to 350 degrees
Beat together butter and sugars until creamy
Add eggs and vanilla, beat well
Add combined flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt and mix well
Stir in oats and raisins, mix well
Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cooky sheet
Bake 10-12 min or until golden brown
Cool 1 min on cooky sheet, remove
Makes about 4 dozen
If you want bar cookies, bake 30 to 35 min in ungreased 13 x 9 inch metal baking pan.
