realsorienOkay. It occasionally pays to bitch. :) I called the help number for the hotel wifi, trying to see what, if anything could be done to get online from the room. The fella I got ahold of said he thought they took Discover, and to just try it. Nada, that didn't work. So, he did something or other on his end, and Zoom! I'm online from my room! Not only that... ITS FREE! YEEEAAAHHHHHH!
On other things- I can't put signs up save in the floor-lobbies. And NO signs on the doors to the rooms- they've apparently just repainted the doors, and they'll charge $50 if the doors are damaged- AND take the sign(s) down. However, you can put a sign NEXT to your door on the wallpaper-just use low-tack tape and don't do damage. :)
As a note- There are new staff here- resturant people are cool like last year, but there is at least one new staffer at the desk- He's VERY by the book. (I'm being nice...) So, he's not gonna bend much.
ANYONE WHO SEES THIS: Let people know that the Tea Party is in room 4118, at 6 PM! I have to run out to a store yet to get styro cups, and a couple of cheap styrofoam coolers for ice, pop, roomie-munchies, juice and milk. Hopefully I'll find someone who knows the area who can get me to a grocery store... Otherwise, I take a taxi. I could rent a car, but I do NOT know the area well enough to trust myself on that.
