Mostly this is just an update as to whats been up for the last week. Exciting, eh? But here goes. :)

Thursday, May 7
The work night went as boring as usual, and I woke early (again), this time around 2 PM or so. Seeing as I'd not gotten an email on it I talked to [livejournal.com profile] foeclan to see if he knew about anything going on for the Furry Night Dinner thing that takes place most Thursday evenings. He didn't, and I suggested something with burgers and beer like the Big 10 on campus.

When all was said and done that was where we ended up- Me, [livejournal.com profile] joshuwain, [livejournal.com profile] feezlekahn, [livejournal.com profile] foeclan and [livejournal.com profile] zxizaraxii. It was a good meal, the burgers and onion rings excellent as ever. I ate far too much salty popcorn, and killed two beers- Fat Tire Amber Ale. Actually, I was too full to finish the second!

After that was just a quiet evening with some City of Heroes and MUCKing.

Friday, May 8
Again I woke early, but this time it was after a good night's sleep- I'd crashed about 5 AM, and woke at about 1:30 PM. I checked my email and found that [livejournal.com profile] joshuwain was organizing a run to see the new Star Trek film, and I emailed back that I'd go. He said to be at his place about 5:15, and we'd go once Mr. Tschimperle arrived.

I asked around the house (of those who were home) to see if anyone wanted to come- [livejournal.com profile] ataramos declined, but [livejournal.com profile] zxizaraxii decided to tag along. I showered and we headed over, and waited about a half-hour until Mike (the Aforementioned Mr. Tschimperle) arrived. We got to the theater (AMC Rosedale 14), got our tickets and spent a bit of time at Panera Bread for food before the movie. It was good, but my sandwich would have been better hot, with mozzarella instead of cheddar. ;)

We got our seats in the theater, actually managing decent seats- there were a LOT of people out to see the film. I got a hot dog (the bottomless pit was still hungry) and a coke, and we waited for things to start. And that's where things got a bit stupid.

The previews started... Or rather, TRIED to start. We don't know what exactly happened, but due to the snafu we didn't get the previews, and we missed the first 5 minutes or so of the film. About a fifth of the crowd walked out, but we stayed. Which was good, cos the film was a blast and we each got a voucher for a free showing! So, I'll be going again this weekend in all odds. Afterwards was just another average night.

Saturday, May 9
Mostly cleaning. Inspired by not wanting my disasterously messy house to embarass me when [livejournal.com profile] ataramos's friend arrived, I got going and started in on it. I got the front room clean and the kitchen, and mostly got the back room livable though it does still need vacuuming. [livejournal.com profile] breisleich arrived, just as I finished the worst of it.

Thereafter, I was beat. While the others went over to [livejournal.com profile] joshuwain's place for pizza and such, I cleaned up and ran out to get my gift for mom on Mother's Day. I decided on three bottles of wine- not expensive but good, and a card. I came home with Mickey-dee's for dinner and relaxed til work.

Sunday, May 10
Work went by and I slept... Well, at least I got four hours. :P In any event, I'd made plans to go over to the folks for dinner. It was a nice time, and mom liked the wine- one bottle got killed at dinner! I headed home and relaxed.

Monday, May 11
Work was work, but the evening was nice- I got together with members of the Local Group, plus [livejournal.com profile] auroraniteshade of the Mana Dragons SG for an evening of being villainous. All had a blast, though for some reason I kept getting myself killed- I guess I was thinking 'tank' again! Towards the end of my participation (I had to work of course), [livejournal.com profile] foeclan stated that he'd gotten an email saying that NCSoft Paragon was putting out a new boxed upgrade to the game called 'Going Rogue'... With side switching! Woot! For the evening people weren't sure, but the next morning revealed that it was true!

Tuesday, May 12
While Monday was good... Tuesday morning at work wasn't so good. I had one of my 'bad nights', for some reason thinking about Luna. These are coming far less frequently... But they still happen. During the resultant and inevitable introspection, I had a sudden revelation that in one line really summed up how I feel, how I've felt since she's been gone:

"I never knew how alone I was til she was gone."

I nearly lost it with that one line. I'm okay now, but... It gave me things to think about.

I don't honestly think I'll ever be over this, but I know I'll be able to live with it.

Other than this, I slept decently, and had a quiet evening playing some City of Heroes and talking on the MUCKs.

Wednesday, May 13
Which brings us to today. Work... Oy. A whole lot of stupid going on. We had ALL of the elevators in one of the buildings fail. Or rather, all of the public elevators- the freight still worked at least. The malfunction was basically that the call buttons on all of the floors weren't working, so nobody could call an elevator. On top of this, one of the elevators was doing a cycle from LL1 to 7th floor, over and over! This was the only elevator accessible for the night- the internal buttons worked, fortunately. I did my thing, contacting my supervisors and such, and was told to put in a service call for the morning. I KNEW that we needed them fixed earlier, but that ain't my call.

So, we had chaos and SERIOUSLY pissed off people calling for help and explainations starting at 5 AM and going til I got the fuck out! But, my butt is covered!

And now, I'm awake. I'm about to drive [livejournal.com profile] zxizaraxii to work, and I'll be stopping at the store for more ibuprofin and a few other minor things. After that is paying bills and farting about til work. I'm about half done with the 7th Sea writeup too- I might get it done tonight.
