I got the snow blower around front, and the sidewalk is done in front of my house to Monroe St. and up to my door. I also kinda dug out some around my car, so I could move it to the back where the snow is far shallower because of the clearing I did earlier. I'll note that even with my blowing it out and the front-end loader that came through, th3e alley has around 4-6" on the ground, not counting the ridge the loader left.

I do love winter, but I REALLY loathe having to do the cleanup. It truly sucks with no help.

I can sympathize! Back in '97, the St. Patrick's Day Blizzard in March paralyzed the city; Something like 26" of heavy wet snow in less than 24 hours! I was really glad to have a snow-blower then! So were my neighbours, since I dug them out too! :) At least it wasn't too bitterly cold, and I remember that the side-walks and driveway were actually bone-dry within a couple hours of my clearing them off.

Unlike the blizzard last January! The Great Blizzard of January 23 & 24, 2010 was not something I'll forget anytime soon!

Snow and Winter are a lot more fun when you're a child, and you only have to worry about playing in the stuff, rather than clearing it out of the way of everything! ;)
