Last night I finally watched 'Fantastic Four' and 'Ong Bak'... And watched 'The Brother's Grimm' the night before. I liked all three!

To the people who didn't like FF- What the hell? It was good! They were faithful to the spirit of the series, and managed to patch some of the worst logic-bugs! Doom as a corporate type works, especially if you noted the throwaway reference to Latveria...

Ong Bak was cool. Odd sound quality, but cool nontheless. :)

The biggest problem with 'The Brother's Grimm' was that it was totally misrepresented in the advertisements- but then, everything that Gilliam does seems to be cursed with that fate. Stupid Movie Ad-execs. Geez, can these people EVER get a clue?

But all three arte added to the Movie Buylist... But I think I'll wait for the Special Edition of FF, for lost scenes and the like. :)

Next to watch, 'Batman Begins'.

I have to disagree.
Fantastic Four was not a good movie. It may have been faithful to the spirit of the comic series it came from, and I'm not one to be able to judge on that, but it wasn't a very good movie overall.

Any movie that I can watch once and have fun watching that one time, but subsequent viewings make me just think "Why am I watching this piece of crap?" are bad movies.
For me, Underworld was a bad movie. Fun once. Not fun anymore. Fantastic Four falls into this category too.

I find myself fairly easily entertained, generally, so I look past all the teeny details so many people get riled up about.

Life's too short to spend most of it whining about movies.

Which FF did you mean? Advent Children (Squee!) or Spirits Within (Steve Buscemi yay!)?

I still wanna see Doom and Batman.

Umm...

I meant Fantastic FOur. The FIRST bunch to have the nickname FF. :)

[Laughs] Ah sorry. I've been into Final Fantasy since I was like 6, so it clicked to me first instead. ^^;

I'm sorry, I really didn't much care for Fantastic Four. It has nothing to do with the story itself, but rather the pace of the movie. It drags. If a movie can't hold my attention, I don't rate it well, and this one got so slow in places it was an effort to sit through it once.

We rented it for family night, and the entire family had trouble sitting through it; this was not the case with any previous movie we'd played for our usual Sunday night dinner and a movie gathering. In all honesty, I enjoy the comics a lot more than I did the movie - if the director had bothered to pay attention to pacing and timing, it probably would have been a LOT better.
