Here's the latest from the Buffy Horror game- to have a bit more background on what's going on, check out this: http://sorien.livejournal.com/60262.html

And now, our story continues...

After the apparent death of Bill, The remaining housemates (Jackie, Greg and Michael) head home to the dormhouse. A day passes as the three attempt to cope with the violent loss of their friend. Addressing another issue briefly, they decide that they were no longer going ot accept the help of their unknown, unseen housekeeper; as Blue hadn't been seen in a week, the nature of this new assistant is an unknown that given current events they're not willing to trust.

To this end the go on a quick shopping trip to the Quickie Mart, and gather some supplies to use instead of what is being given them; while there they encounter a mysterious man, who offers odd, unsolicited suggestions apparently aimed at their well being. The individual never identifies himself, but looks somewhat like Kelsey Grammar, the actor. Later, They encounter him again in the guise of a cabbie, and later still Michael sees him speaking with Father Bishop; however, in his haste to find out what is going on he runs, slipping and falling on the ice; by the time he gets back up both Father Bishop and the man are nowhere to be seen. Michael speaks with Father Bishop in the church, but he denies having spoken with anyone.

Later, Greg goes off to see Master Gung Dok- the lights are all out in the Dojo, but he sees a single light flashing about within. Thinking that the dojo is being robbed, he enters via the back and finds that its merely that the power is out and his sensei is simply trying to check the fuses... In his haste, Greg has forgotten to take off his shoes upon entering the dojo, and has tracked mud all over. Greg spends the next week or so at the dojo in 'extended practice'.

The next day, Sunday, has Jackie and Michael at the dorm house. The two get up, eating breakfast and drinking the premade coffee and forgetting at least initially the decision NOT to do so; Jackie is planning to see Joe Oracle and tell Ms. White about what has happened, and Michael is going to mass and to see Father Bishop thereafter. Jackie contacts Ms. White, who says she'll be over the next morning for the details.

Michael heads off to mass, walking the short distance across campus. After the service he meets with Father Bishop and tells him what has occurred. Father Bishop expresses sympathy, but in the discussion presses Michael about completing the study proposal he'd promised to get to him, which is now late. Michael says that he'll get it done quickly. he then goes to get a jug of distilled water from the Quickie Mart for the priest to bless, as in Arkham you can never have too much holy water- as he reapproaches the church he sees Father Bishop apparently arguing with the mysterious man from the other day, the talk ending with Father Bishop saying 'Fine!' angrily, and walking back into the church. The mystery man is just not there when Michael briefly looks away.

He returns to Father Bishops' office, where a heated exchange occurs with Michael nearly accusing the priest of lying; The response is 'The ENTITY with whom I spoke was NO MAN.' Which leaves Michael a bit stunned; he explains that he is simply wants to know if the being is a danger or threat to himself and his remaining roommates. This mollifies Father Bishop, who says that the being is Death personified, but not here for the three remaining dorm-mates.

In the meantime, Jackie has taken a cab to meet with Joe Oracle; she apologizes for nearly allying with the psychic assassin Gene Simmons, and effectively becomes Joe's student. However, he tells her that she should come to him "after Valentine's Day; things ought to have blown over by then." He won't give further information, though he tells her to bring chocolates. She heads back to the dormhouse.

The week passes with many minor difficulties and stresses; Ms. White speaks with Jackie about Bill's death, and arranges for all of his possessions to be gathered- she is personally taking them back to Bill's parents. Notably, she misses the three remaining cans of Mach 6 in the fridge. Michael works on finishing his proposal for Father Bishop, and also takes more of an interest in tracking down whatever is playing housekeeper for them now that Blue & friends have gone missing.

In the end, two things are discovered- first, the attic is padlocked shut, presumably by Professor Dane or the caretakers of the dormhouse, and second, the trapdoor in the basement which leads to the tunnels below campus has been locked shut and the trigger disabled... Both of these give misgivings to Michael and Jackie.

Finally, on Sunday Michael wakens to the sound of someone entering the house. It sounds innocuous enough, the door opening and closing, the clatter of a cabinet and the pouring of coffee; he heads downstairs only to find Bill getting coffee in the kitchen! Bill, being Bill says "You have NO idea how hard it was to resist messing with you when I came back!" Michael, stunned, just yells "Jackie! Get DOWN here!" This results in Jackie barreling down the stairs, gun drawn- she sees Bill and thinking its another supernatural whatsis, shoots! Bill manages to dodge the shot with a curse, and ends up sat on the floor covered by the shaken Jackie...

After a bit of shouting and Bill being Bill some more, and his allowing Jackie to look inside his head telepathically, the pair decide that it really IS Bill, back from the dead. Things start to settle down just as a 'Whoosh!' sound is heard from outside- the three head to the window and look, only to see meteors zooming down! People are being hit, buildings, trees... And they keep on falling. Bill sees two people hit and go down, and charges out to help if he can- when he reaches them its apparent that they're dead, with softball-sized holes punched through them. He quickly realizes that he's in a BAD place, and starts running back to the dormhouse.

He gets about halfway back when one of the trees he's been using for cover gets hit, blasting him with splinters; now hurt, he knows he has to reach cover NOW, and dives through the nearest house window- he is cut badly by the glass, and pretty much down for the count, though conscious. Meanwhile back at the dormhouse, Michael's car is hit and punctured, but not destroyed- Jackie goes to the basement, rather out of it from the repeated shocks of recent times, and Michael sees Bill get blasted with splinters and his window-dive. Realizing Bill's probably badly hurt, Michael recalls the Mach 6- he gets a can and drinks the whole thing down. And...
Everything...
Just...
Stops.

Water drops and meteors and blasted bits of buildings all hang suspended in the air, unmoving; injured and dead people float in mid-fall, and all seems still and unreal- he bolts out to the house which Bill so suddenly entered, reaching it even before the glass has all settled- he replaces a dropped cup of coffee to the hand of the startled homeowner, gathers Bill in a fireman's carry and runs back to the dormhouse; the effects soon wear off as he gets Bill downstairs to Jackie; he runs back up for the first aid kit, tells Jackie to help Bill, then passes out as the effects fully end.

Jackie works on patching Bill up, getting him stable- as she works someone hands her the things she needs; Death is there. She asks if he's there for Bill or Michael, and he says no... "But you should get more ammunition." She asks if he has a name, and he replies "You can call me... Eddie." He's then gone once again without further explanation. She heads upstairs to get the ammo and blankets and such- as she does so she notices that the meteor-fall has stopped... But that people, obviously DEAD people, are getting up and staggering about. She gets the ammo and hauls some food downstairs as well, shutting the door behind her.

Jackie then passes out for a time, about three hours or so. When she wakens, Michael is just coming to- she asks what happened, and he explains about the Mach 6 and its effects. She tells him about the undead outside, and they decide that remaining where they are is unwise, and that Bill really needs a hospital. They haul Bill upstairs, open the door, and are face to face with a zombie! Jackie's shot booms out, and the creature's head disintegrates across the kitchen. They get to Michael's car, and head for the hospital.

As they drive they notice more and more zombies. First a few, then more, then more; soon they are seeing crowds of zombies, more as they approach the hospital... Funny that... Bill awakens as they approach the obviously-compromised hospital, and Michael's car gives a sputter and dies- out of gas. Behind and ahead of them are huge hordes of the undead, numbering in the hundreds. They decide that they need to flee, and bail out of the car into the parking lot of the hospital, managing to avoid detection for the moment. They find an unlocked van, and Bill hotwires it; they speed off with the idea of leaving Arkham for Boston, hoping that the horrors aren't there as well.

Good news and bad news- from the looks of it the zombies are restricted to Arkham. The bad news is that this is because of a mile-high black impenetrable wall around the entire city! They turn from this discouraging sight and decide to head next for the Dane Estate, where they hope they might be able to hole up in the heavily-warded mansion. While stopped, Bill suddenly feels a heat against his back, similar to the heat he felt when he awoke in Boston; he jumps back in just as a hot rain starts- a drop hits Michael, and it burns; its highly acidic! Bill thinks perhaps Sue Damos might be behind the rain, but they've nothing to go on there one way or the other. The rain DOES burn the zombies, which is some good news. As they start driving again, they encounter a group of people chased by zombies who beg them for help- Bill says, "Leave them. We can't save them. To do something about this WE have to survive!" But Michael, who is driving, ignores him, stops, and pulls 5 into the van; Bill notices two have been bitten...

They continue driving, seeing the walking dead wherever they go- at the downtown Catholic cathedral, all over the roads in packs... Eventually, one of the two people who had been bitten and who was lying down, sits back up with a moaning hiss, having turned! Jackie fires once, blowing its head off from the jawline up; they let the rest of the people leave- not that they wanted to stay after that. Bill tries to get the body out of the van, but is still far too weak from his loss of blood, so they drive off with the back doors open and the body partly hanging out.

Finally they reach the estate. The gates are closed, so Bill attempts to rig a bypass for the gate keypad; he fails, but then Michael jumps in and with what Bill has started rigs a transmitter, getting the doors to open. They get in and close the gates just as the zombie hordes reach the gate. The rains starts again, and they note that it lasts 10 minutes exactly each time it rains. They try to get into the garage and the mansion, but are unable; they then hear a CRASH from out front- the gate has been breached! Just then, the supposedly-neutralized headless zombie sits up! Bill, currently in the driver's seat says. "Hang on!" and floors the van- the dead thing is flung out, but they're now facing the horde, which Bill starts driving through...

Not bad. The worst glaring error I saw was that Michael's room is on the ground floor next to the kitchen.

Chaos

Heh.

And here I thought you'd mention my leaving out the point when the van stalled. :)
